Q: Can I Park At Twickenham Stadium?
A: Parking is available at Twickenham Stadium but, as the stadium is located in a residential area, the surrounding roads are for resident permit holders only, meaning any unauthorised vehicles will be towed away.
There is high demand for on-site car parking for international matches, so this may not always be available, but it is generally available for non-international matches and concerts if booked in advance.
Our off-site car park is called Rosebine Avenue and is next to the Twickenham Stoop (Harlequins RFC) on the A316 (Chertsey Road). This is approximately 10 minutes walk from the stadium and has easy access to the M3, M25 and beyond.
Larger vehicles, such as transit vans, stretch limousines, minibuses and coaches can be accommodated in some of the RFU car parks, subject to availability.
Q: How do I pre-book parking?
A: Car parking can be booked through the RFU eTicketing website (booking fees apply), or by using the booking forms below. Prices and opening/ closing times will vary according to the event as will the availability of some car parks.
The forms can all be completed on your computer before printing (and any card booking fees and postage will be calculated for you).
Please note that these methods of pre-booking both close at 1pm on the Wednesday before a weekend event or the Friday before a midweek event.
For details of other ways of travelling to the stadium on match days, visit our Getting here section.
Q: As a disabled blue badge holder, what parking is available to me?
A: We offer a 50 per cent concession on our on site parking rates to all blue badge holders. A space can be booked using the disabled car parking form available to download above.
We require a copy of both sides of your blue badge with the application form in order to offer the concessionary rate.
Q: I have booked via the RFU eTicketing website/ RFU booking form. When will I receive my pass?
A: For early bookings, passes will be sent two to three weeks before the event. For bookings made in the week before the event, passes will be sent within 24 hours.
If you haven’t received a pass within these timescales, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your booking name and address details and we will check the booking status.
Q: I am attending the stadium on a non-event day. Where shall I park?
A: Parking is available throughout the week outside of major events, free of charge. There is a short stay car park (up to two hours) at the South-West corner of the stadium for visitors to the Rugby Store and Ticket Office.
If your visit is longer than this you can park in the North or West car parks. Both are accessible via the entrance at the North-East corner of the stadium on Rugby Road.
Q: I am staying at the London Twickenham Marriott. Where shall I park?
A: Guests staying overnight in the Marriott can park free of charge during non-event days in the West car park, accessible via the entrance at the North-East corner of the stadium on Rugby Road.
If your stay falls on an event day, guests are advised to contact the Marriott directly on +44 (020) 8891 8200.
Q: How far are the car parks from the stadium?
A: Our North and West car parks are located within the stadium grounds.
We occasionally hire the Cardinal Vaughan school playing field which is linked to the West car park via a footbridge and Tesco car park which is less than 100m from the North-East corner of the stadium.
Our off site car park, Rosebine Avenue, is less than 10 minutes walk from the South-West corner of the stadium.
Q: Are there any event day police road closures that may affect the car parks?
A: On most event days, Whitton Road and Rugby Road will be closed before and after the event while pedestrian traffic is cleared. This generally only affects access to and from the West car park, but all car parks can be busy, especially on exit, so please plan for up to an hour of delays.
Q: What is the Twickenham Event Day Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ)?
A: The Twickenham Event Day Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) is operated by the London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames and Hounslow. The CPZ aims to ensure local parking is for residents and their visitors and to dissuade those attending the Stadium from parking in local streets.
The CPZ only applies on days where events are expected to attract more than 35,000 people to the Stadium. The times of control are from 10am - 6pm unless otherwise stated on the CPZ entry signs. The times of the CPZ may vary according to the start of the event.
On event days warning signs will be displayed. All restrictions within the CPZ will be enforced and penalty charge notices will be issued to illegally parked vehicles. A map of the CPZ can be seen at www.richmond.gov.uk/parking
Residents’ permits and visitors’ permits are free of charge.
If you would like to apply for a permit or need further information, please call the Twickenham Parking Shop on 020 8744 2131 or Hounslow Parking Office on 020 8583 6666.
Q: What postcode should I use with my satellite navigation system?
A: The stadium post code is TW1 1DZ but as our car parks are spread out, each has a different post code, as follows:
- West Car Park – TW2 7RE
- North Car Park – TW1 1DZ
- Cardinal Vaughan – TW7 7LT
- Twickenham Tesco – TW7 7JY
- Rosebine Avenue Car Park – TW2 7PS
Q: What are the Terms & Conditions of parking?
A: Parking in RFU car parks is subject to the RFU Ground Rules, copies of which are posted around the ground.
The surrounding roads are under the sole control of the Metropolitan Police and early arrival is therefore recommended. Exit from our car parks may also be delayed due to road closures.
Admittance cannot be guaranteed less than 90 minutes before the advertised event start time.
All vehicles must be parked in designated areas as directed by the parking contractors. In the event of adverse weather or ground conditions, parking arrangements may have to be changed.
Barbeques or naked flames, awnings, gazebos and similar constructions are not permitted. Single pole umbrellas may be erected within the designated car park space.
Liability for any loss, injury or damage to any person or vehicle is excluded as set out in the ground rules.
Vehicles can only remain in the car park during the opening hours displayed on the pass/ e-ticket.
