Non-RFU Competitions
Competition Overview
These competitions, commonly known as merit tables or local leagues, operate outside the RFU English Clubs Championship and provide regular rugby for players outside of clubs first teams.
At present there are over 250 such competitions operating across the country providing regular rugby for over 2,400 teams.
These leagues are organised by Constituent Bodies and cover teams from clubs in the Championship down to Level 12. Funding is available for all merit tables and can be claimed by returning the Merit Table/Junior Leagues Application Form (PDF 84kB).
