The structured season provides a framework for young players at all levels in clubs and schools. This will assist in developing the players involvement in the sports through a balance of competition and development. The overriding principle is that the needs of the young person always comes first.

The 2012/13 calendar below follows a different format to previous seasons in that it only sets out Nationally established programmes, with CB and County programmes (including Schools of Rugby) being established at local level, and which should be available on respective County Union web-sites.

The calendar is in the form of a spreadsheet, is downloadable and is designed to be a useable document for schools and club.

It is essential that the RFU Structured Season Handbook is read and  adhered to.

Please note it is important to read the RFU Youth Structured Season guidance note (PDF 49kB) as it gives necessary information and sets the calendar in context.
